The 10th International Congress of the IAEG will be held in Nottingham, United Kingdom, 6 - 10 September 2006, hosted by the Engineering Group of the Geological Society of London. The IAEG2006 Congress will debate the subject of Engineering geology for tomorrow's cities within the four-day core of lectures, presentations, discussions and poster sessions. The 21st Century will see a rapid growth in the world's urban population - which will mean building new cities and enlarging and regenerating old ones. The Congress will discuss and debate the engineering geological issues raised by the development of the urban environment, the impact of environmental change on engineering construction, and practical solutions for the future.
